About Estancia Primera
Quintessential Rural City. Be still my heart for this fantastic neighborhood in downtown Santa Fe just a mile or so from the Plaza.
Beautiful well built homes on sizable lots that feel bigger due to the hilly terrain and pinon and juniper tree covered arroyos (natural drainage). Green belts and wildlife go together for an environment that allows residents to feel close to nature. I personally have enjoyed watching a bobcat meander an arroyo.
Bike, drive or hike to downtown events and shopping or take a quick drive up to the ski basin for a little down hill fun, pre-season mushroom hunting, or for an aspen vista hike.
There are approximately 160 single family homes and 26 town homes. With an average historical price range of about $715,000 and the average square feet of about 2,500, prices have gone up to over $2,000,000 in this very desirable neighborhood. The early homes in the Altamira phase were built in the 1980's are usually multi level and feature painted adobe accent walls. Custom homes are still being built on the few remaining lots which are very hard to come by. The higher end homes generally feature single level plus guest house and the ultimate sunset views.
Amenities of this development include a community building with outdoor pool and tennis courts. Dues are very reasonable in 2016 ranging from $400 to $440 per year based on the construction phase of the development.
